From sandbox to production with confidence

Paste your sandbox keys, declare the webhook URL, run a test payment: the order becomes paid and the transaction appears. When the day comes, enter your live keys and switch the mode — the plugin asks for confirmation, tests the connection and checks currency and HTTPS.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which payment methods can my customers use?

All those enabled on your FedaPay account: MTN MoMo, Moov Money, Celtiis Cash, Orange Money, Wave, T-Money, Free Money, Airtel Money and bank card depending on the country. The customer chooses on the FedaPay page; you decide which badges to show on your store.

What if the customer closes the page before the end?

FedaPay notifies your store by webhook as soon as the payment is approved, and the plugin re-checks pending orders on its own every 15 minutes: the order is validated even if the customer never came back to the site.

Can an order be validated by mistake?

No: the return URL and the webhook body are never taken at face value. The transaction is re-read from the FedaPay API, and the identifier, amount and order must match; otherwise the order is put on hold with an alert note.

Are my API keys safe?

They are encrypted in the database with a key derived from your site salts, never written to the log, masked on screen, and can be defined in wp-config.php if you prefer not to store anything in the database.

How do I go live?

The built-in guide walks you through: sandbox keys, webhook, test payment, then live keys and mode switch. A button tests the connection at every step, and the dashboard shows what is missing.

What happens when the licence expires?

FedaPay is no longer offered at checkout (orders already paid are not affected). It comes back as soon as you renew (14-day grace period after expiry).
