Version in force as of October 6, 2026.
This agreement binds the Customer and BOOSTAGE ONLINE — Établissement Salomon Santos KOFFI (“we”) for any Software obtained on boostageonline.com. It is accepted when ordering; activating the Key confirms that acceptance. Terms defined in the Terms of sale have the same meaning here.
1. Definitions
- Site: an installation of WordPress (or of the application concerned) reachable at an address. Each domain name, each subdomain and each site of a multisite network counts as a separate Site.
- Activation: the registration of the Key on a Site. The plan sets the number of simultaneous Activations: 1, 5 or unlimited.
- Development site: a Site used only to develop or test, not open to the public, with no real visitors or customers (for example localhost, *.local, *.test, or a staging. or dev. subdomain).
- Licensed features: the features of the Software that require an active Key.
- License term: one year from the issue of the Key, extended by each renewal.
2. What your license includes
During the License term and for the number of Sites of your plan, the License gives you: activation of the Key and access to the Licensed features; updates (fixes and new versions released during the term), delivered in your WordPress dashboard; downloading the files from your account; the technical support described in the Terms of sale.
3. Source code and the GPL
Our WordPress plugins and themes are distributed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later (GPL), as stated in their files. Nothing in this agreement restricts the rights the GPL grants you over that code.
The GPL covers the code, not our services. The following are not covered by the GPL and remain governed by this agreement: the License key, access to updates and downloads, support, our license server, the documentation, the visuals and the Boostage Online trademark. A copy modified or redistributed by a third party is not an official version: it gives no right to updates or support and may not use our name or logo. Any components from other publishers remain subject to their own license. Templates, applications and other Software that are not WordPress plugins or themes are licensed under this agreement only, unless their files state otherwise: they may not be copied, resold or redistributed.
4. Sites and activations
- Moving to another Site: deactivate the Key on the old Site (from the plugin or My account › Licenses), then activate it on the new one. Rotating a single Activation between several production Sites to exceed your plan is prohibited.
- Development sites: they do not use an Activation, for development and testing only. A Site open to the public, receiving real visitors, orders or payments, is a production Site whatever its address, and must use an Activation.
- “Unlimited sites” plan: it covers the Sites you own and those you manage for your clients as part of your services. It does not allow providing the Key, our updates or our support to third parties on a self-service basis (hosting, site-builder platform, SaaS, marketplace), nor transferring or disclosing the Key. When you stop managing a client’s Site, you deactivate the Key; your client buys their own License if they want to keep receiving updates and support.
- Agencies: support is provided to the License holder, not to their end clients.
5. Prohibited actions
The following are prohibited, on pain of suspension and then revocation of the License without refund:
- disclosing, publishing, lending, renting, selling or sharing the Key, download links or access to your account;
- declaring a production Site as a Development site, or disguising the address or identity of a Site;
- bypassing, disabling or falsifying the license check, emulating our license server, or using a copy so modified to obtain our updates, downloads or support;
- distributing our files presented as an official, “premium”, “activated” or “nulled” version, or using our trademark to do so;
- querying our servers in an automated or abusive way, or attempting to disrupt them;
- keeping the Licensed features of an expired, refunded or revoked License active, in particular by deliberately preventing the Software from reaching our server: such a License no longer gives any right to use the Key;
- using the Software for any unlawful activity.
These prohibitions and their sanctions concern the Key, our services and our trademark; they do not take away any of the rights the GPL grants you over the code (section 3).
6. Expiry
At the end of the License term, a 14-day grace period begins: Licensed features stay active, but updates, support and downloads stop. After that period, Licensed features pause until renewal. Your settings, data, orders and documents already produced are kept: nothing is deleted. Renewal reactivates everything immediately, with the same Key (see the Subscription and renewal terms).
For a payment or invoicing plugin, the pause may remove the payment method from your checkout or suspend invoice certification. The reminders sent 30, 7 and 1 day before expiry, then on the day itself, give you time to renew.
7. Suspension and revocation
If we reasonably suspect a breach (Key published, abnormal activations, Development site used in production), we may suspend the Key and inform you by email; you have 7 days to explain or remedy the situation. If the breach is confirmed, the License is revoked without refund. A License is also revoked if the order is refunded, and suspended while a payment is disputed. After revocation, the Key no longer works and our updates, downloads and support are no longer available.
8. Data sent by the Software
To check the License and offer updates, the Software sends our server, on activation and then about twice a day: the Key, the Site address, a technical identifier of the installation, the versions of the Software, WordPress and PHP, and the Site language. No data about your Site’s visitors or customers is sent. Details are in the Privacy policy. If our server is temporarily unreachable, a valid, already activated License keeps working until its expiry and the end of the grace period.
9. Changes to the Software
Updates may change features. When a third-party service (payment provider, public authority, WordPress, WooCommerce) changes or removes a function the Software depends on, we adapt the Software where possible, with no obligation to maintain a feature that has become impossible. Minimum WordPress, WooCommerce and PHP versions may be raised; this is then stated in the changelog.
10. Warranty and liability
Warranties and limits of liability are those of the Terms of sale and the Refund policy. The Software is a tool: complying with the obligations of your own business (tax, accounting, protection of your customers’ data) remains your responsibility.
11. Transfer
The License is personal. It may be transferred to a third party only with our written consent, which we will not refuse without reason if you sell your business or your Site.
12. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the law applicable to the Terms of sale (section 18), subject to the mandatory provisions protecting Consumers in their country.
