Overview

Why choose BO Normalised Invoice?

In Benin, every sale must produce a normalised invoice certified by the DGI. Doing this by hand for an online store means re-entering every order in the e-MECeF portal. The plugin does it for you, the second the order is paid: submission, total check, confirmation, PDF with QR code, delivery to the customer.

What sets it apart: the DGI-computed total is compared with the WooCommerce total before any confirmation; on a discrepancy the request is cancelled and flagged. DGI outage? The invoice is queued and retried automatically. Refund? The credit note is generated and referenced. Nothing to watch.

A compliant, readable, professional invoice

Seller details with IFU and RCCM, customer with their IFU if entered at checkout, lines with tax group, DGI tax breakdown, “Security elements” block with MECeF/DGI code, NIM, counters, certified date and a QR code verifiable on the DGI portal. Always in French, whatever your customer’s language.

How it works

  • Install the plugin and activate your licence.
  • Enter your IFU and your e-MECeF token (test first, then production) and click “Test the connection”.
  • Choose your default tax group and the printed seller details.
  • That is all: every paid order is certified, the invoice is attached to the customer email and available in their account.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an e-MECeF account?

Yes. The plugin uses your own API token issued by the DGI (developper.impots.bj portal for tests, sygmef.impots.bj in production). Invoices are certified under your IFU and counted in your tax counters.

What if the DGI is unreachable at payment time?

The order is queued for certification; the plugin retries automatically every 15 minutes with an increasing delay, then emails the invoice to the customer once certified. Nothing is lost, nothing to redo.

Does the plugin handle refunds?

Yes. A full or partial refund in WooCommerce automatically generates a credit note (FA, or EA for export) referencing the MECeF/DGI code of the original invoice.

I am under the TPS regime, not subject to VAT: is that supported?

Yes: choose tax group E as default. You can also set a different group per product. Check your regime with your accountant.

Does my data go through a third-party server?

No. The plugin only talks to the official DGI API, from your server. The QR code and the PDF are generated locally, with no library or external service.

What happens when the licence expires?

Invoices already issued remain viewable and downloadable. Certification of new invoices resumes as soon as you renew (14-day grace period after expiry).
