Boostage Online (“we”) respects your privacy. This policy explains which personal data we collect on boostageonline.com and through our software, why, how long we keep it and what your rights are. The controller is BOOSTAGE ONLINE — Établissement Salomon Santos KOFFI, Zopah Palmeraie, Abomey-Calavi, Bénin.
Data we collect
- Account and orders: name, email address, phone, country, tax ID or EU VAT number (optional, for businesses), products purchased, amounts, taxes, payment method, license keys.
- Order evidence: date and time of the acceptance of the terms and of the immediate-access request, downloads made, IP address at the time of the order.
- Payment: payment details (card number, Mobile Money account) are entered with our payment provider and never pass through our servers; we only receive the result and reference of the transaction.
- Licenses: on activation and then about twice a day, our software sends the key, the site address, a technical identifier of the installation, the versions of the software, WordPress and PHP, the site language and, as with any connection, the server’s IP address. No data about your site’s visitors or customers is sent.
- Contact and support forms: name, email, message and any attachments.
- Pending cart: if you enter your email at checkout without completing the order, your cart is kept for 30 days so you can resume it and, with your consent where the law requires it, receive at most two reminders; each reminder contains a link to stop them.
- Browsing: preferred language and technical data strictly necessary for the store to work (cart, session), described in the Cookie policy. We do not use advertising cookies.
Purposes and legal bases
- Performance of the contract: processing your orders, issuing and checking licenses, providing updates and support.
- Legal obligations: e-MECeF certified invoicing, accounting, EU VAT returns (billing country, phone country code and IP address kept as evidence of the buyer’s country).
- Legitimate interest: site security, prevention of fraud and key sharing, evidence of our rights in a dispute, product improvement.
- Consent where the law requires it (for example for cart reminders sent to visitors in the European Union).
Recipients
Your data is processed by our team and our technical processors: hosting provider (Hostinger), payment providers, email delivery service, the Benin tax authority (DGI) for invoice certification (name, tax ID if any, amounts), the European Commission VIES service to check an EU VAT number, and the tax authority of the EU Member State of identification for EU VAT returns (amounts per country, no personal data). If a payment is disputed, the order evidence is sent to the payment provider concerned. We never sell or rent your data.
Transfers
We are established in Benin and our site is hosted by a provider established in the European Union. When your data is processed outside your country, we make sure it benefits from appropriate safeguards (contractual commitments of our providers, security measures).
Retention
Order, invoicing data and order evidence: 10 years (accounting obligation and evidence). Customer account: until deletion, or 3 years after the last activity. License data: for the license term, then 3 years. Contact messages: 3 years. Uncompleted carts: 30 days. Technical logs: 12 months.
Your rights
You may access your data, correct it, request its erasure or portability, object to or restrict a processing, and withdraw your consent at any time. Some data cannot be erased before the end of its legal retention period (invoices, for example). Write to contact@boostageonline.com with your request; we reply within 30 days. You may also contact the Benin data protection authority (APDP) or, in the European Union, the supervisory authority of your country.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS; passwords are stored hashed; access to data is limited to those who need it; exchanges with the license server are signed; license keys and tokens are stored securely.
